A message from Dr Neil Ralph, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning
The NHS Birthday is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the way healthcare has continuously grown through each generation to meet the changing needs of our communities. In 74 years of our NHS, we have seen lots of wonderful innovations in our services.
This is true of the way that we train our workforce too, and the Health Education England Technology Enhanced Learning (HEE TEL) team is proud to be at the forefront of NHS innovations, supporting health and care staff to stay up to date with the latest training and technology.
The last couple of years have been some of the most challenging for health and care, and services continue to face immense pressures. I would echo our partners in highlighting actions we can all take to support services, from volunteering or raising money for a local NHS charity, to simply taking steps to look after your own health and using services wisely.
The NHS Birthday is also a great chance to look back at the contribution made by our staff over the last year. Our teams could not have achieved all they have without the skill and dedication of our people, and I want to use this opportunity to thank colleagues for all that you are doing.
This also highlights the fantastic career opportunities that the NHS offers, and the unique and rewarding roles that the TEL team has, find out more on our recruitment pages.
In an incredibly fast changing environment, it has been more important than ever for HEE TEL to work in an agile and innovative manner, so that we can continue to provide training resources using the most up to date guidance and the most effective technologies.
The elearning for healthcare hub now has over 500 training programmes either live or in development, and more resources are being added to the Learning Hub every day. Alongside this, we continue to update our offering with equipment and training that can truly benefit the NHS.
So, as we all say happy birthday to our amazing NHS, I would like to once again say thank you to all of our colleagues and partners for all that you do.
Dr Neil Ralph
