A selection of resources have been added to the Learning Hub which aim to offer guidance about possible options to help support, or enhance, local delivery of simulation-based education (SBE) in the current COVID-19 era.

The resources provide a range of technical solutions including ways to stream, capture, share and make remote sessions interactive and experiential.

The Learning Hub is a digital platform that provides easy access to a wide range of education and training resources for the health and care workforce.  Organisations and users can contribute and share resources for those in health and care to access.

Colleagues across health and care have been uploading resources.  There are now over 700 resources available for the health and care workforce to access and share with colleagues.

Take a look:

#ReStartSim – technical how to guide Periscope V.1.1 This guide explains how to use Periscope to stream video on smart devices.

#ReStartSim – technical how to guide Virtual Reality (VR) Head mounted Device (HMD) Infection Control This document suggests protocol to be followed to ensure that VR HMDs do not transmit COVID-19 between users.

#ReStartSim – Inserting audio video screen capture and record presentation with PowerPoint  This video demonstrates how to add audio and video recordings to PowerPoint in Office 365.

#ReStartSim – Using Microsoft Streams to record videos in Microsoft Teams This resource explains how to record a video within Microsoft Teams.

Other guides that are part of this suite of resources include other Microsoft Teams content and Zoom guidance.  To access the other resources, search ReStartSim on the Learning Hub.

The Learning Hub is a platform that enables rapid dissemination and widens reach across the health and care sector, increasing adoption of useful learning resources.

You can sign into the Learning Hub either using your existing e-Learning for Healthcare username and password or NHS OpenAthens user account details or by creating an account on the Learning Hub and using those details.

If you would like further information about uploading content, please contact the Learning Hub team.
