Several resources have been contributed to the Learning Hub that are aimed at colleagues who have returned to practice to support the COVID-19 response and address some of the topics returning colleagues may find useful.
The Learning Hub is a digital platform that provides easy access to a wide range of education and training resources for the health and care workforce. Organisations and users can contribute and share resources for those in health and care to access.
These resources include:
HEE Supported Return to Training Intelligent Question bank A question-based resource which reviews key concepts and scenarios a returning practitioner may face when managing patients on the frontline.
Talking to Relatives – Covid-19 Compassionate phone communication This guide to compassionate phone communication has been developed to share a simple framework for communication concepts, including uncertain recovery, as well as tips for compassionate conversations.
Verification of Death Refresher A short refresher video covering the skills and knowledge for verification of death.
Remote Consulting: A Survival Guide Includes support, guidance and tips on remote consulting:
- Video vs telephone
- Minimising and managing risk
- Triage
- Safety-netting.
It only takes a few minutes to contribute a resource to the Learning Hub. You can sign into the Learning Hub either using an e-Learning for Healthcare username and password or NHS OpenAthens user account details or by creating an account on the Learning Hub and using those details. Select “Contribute a new resource” and populate the form with details including the resource title, type, description and author details.
