Following the Learning Hub’s Service Team meeting with NHSX to share and gather feedback on some of the work completed to date, the team has been working on mapping the user journeys across the system. The team has also been documenting how the work in the Private Beta phase is a logical transition from the work that was completed during the Alpha phase.
To maximise the value for users, by ensuring the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) delivers the core functions well, the plan has been slightly refocused.
The user research and analysis of development options for the forum functionality is still being carried out in the Private Beta phase, however the design and development of forums will be done in the Public Beta phase. Forums is a huge area of work and more time is required to ensure the development option that best meets our users’ current and future needs is selected.
Enhancements to the MVP include beginning the work to structure content within the system and the ability to rate content. Content structure must be implemented, and built upon, as it impacts many areas across the system including search, resource display, reporting, contribution of content etc. Stakeholders also need this to be in place so that content can be correctly added, or migrated across from other systems, to the Learning Hub. Rating of content is a logical inclusion both from the work undertaken in Alpha, where we carried out a lot of research on this, and the scoped work being completed in this phase.
The Learning Hub’s Service Team is continuing to make significant progress on the technical requirements for the platform’s functionality for the Beta launch, in May 2020.
